Myofascial Release and Stretching is a self-treatment technique that results in lengthening the body’s connective tissue. It has the capacity to dramatically improve health and quality of life. It can help reduce chronic pain, muscular tightness, and postural dysfunction.
Connective tissue surrounds every cell from head to toe, it creates an integrated mesh that envelops our bones, muscles, and organs. It provides support and flexibility. Fascial restriction is thickening, shortening and tightening of connective tissue from injury, trauma, inflammation, normal aging, poor posture etc..
During this workshop, participants will release restriction by applying sustained pressure into the tight areas then increase flexibility once the tissue releases.

Great for anyone just beginning a yoga practice, those looking to refine their knowledge or for a seasoned practitioner easing into the week.
By popular demand, Joanie has added an additional Yoga for Backs Class.
Now you can enjoy this relaxing healthful class twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5:00-6:00 pm.
In this class we soften fascial tissue, stretch and strengthen various areas in the body that affect your back.
No Yoga experience is necessary, arrive in comfortable clothing with your mat.
Mats rental is available if you do not own one.
